The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) Indonesia, a German non-profit organization based in Jakarta, is inviting qualified and motivated individuals to apply for the position of

PROGRAM OFFICER

Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) Indonesia promotes democracy, human rights, economic freedom, and the rule of law. In pursuit of these goals, FNF Indonesia plans and implements projects together with partners in government and civil society. Applicants should have a keen interest in democracy, the rule of law, and human rights issues. He or she should ideally have an affinity towards working with think tanks and organisations in the field of journalism. Applicants with prior experience in working in the national or international NGO sector and with different stakeholders in civil society are preferred.

Required qualifications and skills:

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Identification with the values and goals of FNF Indonesia
  • Capability and willingness to manage administrative processes in accordance with German funding law
  • Ability to work in a team and a multicultural and international environment
  • Strong ability to take responsibility and to work independently
  • Very good English skills (German is not essential but an advantage)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel within Indonesia and occasionally abroad
  • Excellent project management and time management abilities
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
